SHEQ Manager (m/f)

Manica Group Namibia is recruiting a SHEQ Manager (m/f), to be based in Walvis Bay, Namibia.
Duties
  • Create a compelling understanding of the MGN SHEQ values and inspire employees and service providers to excel in compliance & continuously improve
  • Developing a SHEQ strategy for the group, with SHEQ priorities, current & future challenges, and opportunities for change at site levels
  • Guide implementation of the Environmental Management System and other SHEQ Standards
  • Develop and continuously improve site SHEQ programmes to deliver compliance and performance improvement
  • Ensure the local health & safety management system is certified to ISO 45001, ISO 9001, and ISO 14001 standards
  • Provide training and coaching to managers and team leaders to help them take ownership, lead and manage SHEQ within their area of responsibility. Provide personal coaching and support to site Management Team
  • Ensure compliance is regularly audited and performance assessed, and the results used to drive further improvement
  • Engage with external stakeholders (trades unions, local regulators, local communities, and local NGOs) on SHEQ topics to build long term, positive relationships
Requisites
  • Ideally educated to degree level (or equivalent) in a relevant field
  • NEBOSH Diploma in Occupational Health and Safety
  • Grade 12
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office
  • Detailed knowledge of the requirements of ISO 45001, ISO 9001 and ISO 14001 standard
  • Previous experience within logistics is essential
  • Experience leading internal audits and liaising with external regulatory bodies
  • Namibian Citizen
  • Valid Driver’s License
