SHEQ Manager (m/f)

GIPF is recruiting a SHEQ Manager (m/f), to be based in Outapi, Namibia.
Duties
  • Provide benefits processing and administration services
  • Monitor the functions of the Benefits Administration and evaluate and supervise their work
  • Ensure accuracy, completeness and timing standards are adhered to
  • Assess risks and resolve problems arising with benefits pay-out
  • Review data clean-up services and maintenance of the benefits processing systems
  • Ensure compliance of all assigned functions with laws, rules, and regulations
  • To be involved in the strategic plan of the division
  • Audit new admissions checking/processing and prepare audits on data for actuarial valuation
  • Assist Administrators with benefits claims processing and calculation processes of complex payments
  • Institute process and systems checks, and controls as agreed with the Head: Benefits Administration
  • Preparation of claims recommendations for the BAC committee
  • Verify Section 14 transfer calculations and benefits processing
  • Provide coaching and training services to own team and stakeholders
  • Liaise with participating employers and stakeholders
  • Audit benefit statements processing, coordination, and providing audit quotations services
  • Handle claims queries and complaints and provide problem-solving services
  • Coordinate tax certificates and directives processing services
Requisites
  • Degree in Business Administration and/or a commerce-related field with 2-3 years experience or National Diploma (NQF Level 6) in Business Administration and/or commerce-related field with 5-6 years experience
  • Minimum of three (3) years experience in the retirement fund industry
  • A retirement fund management qualification will be an added advantage
  • The incumbent should have the following knowledge, skills, and Attributes:
  • Knowledge: Processes of claims/benefits payments, annuities situations, auditing of data, basic accounting principles, basic actuarial understanding, calculations modules and interest rate, control processes and checks, manual procedures for calculating benefits and pension fund industry/environment rules and regulations
  • Skills: Administration, Advising, analytical, change management, complaints handling, customer service, evaluation, feedback, complaints handling, interpersonal, verbal communication, report writing and supervision skills
  • Personal Attributes: Approachable, Assertive, emotionally matured, confidentiality, integrity, cultural sensitivity, high-stress tolerance, patient, sense of urgency and result orientation
