Standard Bank is recruiting a Specialist, Payment Application, in Windhoek, Namibia.
Duties
- Assist with the development and tuning of SQL-stored procedures and functions
- Maintenance of MS SQL Databases
- A 'building quality in' mindset is critical in supporting the Business Units
- Provides development estimates and participates in project planning
- Participates in designing and developing complex systems by writing Design Specifications descriptions of the framework, interfaces, services, reports, business components, and interaction between the components
- Responsible for ensuring quality delivery of code through static and dynamic testing techniques
Requisites
- Relevant 3 year tertiary qualifications
- 2 -3 years of experience in developing applications working with C#, .NET, Oracle SQL, and T-SQL XML , JAVAscript , Xpath and XSLT
- Additional Information:
- Prior experience in (ISO8583 and 20022) Financial Services essential, preferably with Treasury, Finance, and/or regulatory experience
- Experience with ETL (Extract, Transform and Load) processes, defining data metrics
- Must have experience in a workflow process tool like JIRA and Remedy
SQL programming, writing stored procedures, Data Modeling knowledge
- Understanding of project management concepts and techniques required such as SaFE and Agile.
- Ability to be flexible, set priorities, and meet deadlines in a changing environment for self team
- Must have decision-making skills for problem identification and solution recommendation
