STS Technician (Engineering)

Namdeb is recruiting a STS Technician (Engineering), to be based in Windhoek, Namibia.
Duties
  • Security Technical Support Technician is to perform technical skilled and diagnostic work on a variety of Security technical systems
  • He/She will install, commission, maintain, problem-solve and repair security electronic equipment, in accordance with the asset maintenance management strategy, and to ensure service levels, performance outputs/requirements and agreements are met which effectively contribute to the security and protection of Namdeb's resources and the achievement of the Security department's goals and objectives
Requisites
  • Grade 12 (minimum of 20 points over 5 subjects, including English with an E-symbol)
  • National Diploma for Technicians, N6, T3, S4 or equivalent
  • Two years’ experience as a qualified Technician in an industrial, Electronics, Telecommunications and/or Surveillance environment
  • Supervisory experience (will be an advantage)
  • Computer literacy (SAP experience will be an added advantage)
  • Experience in Security Systems Management will be an added advantage
  • Experience in IM Server environment, Networking and IP Surveillance will be an added advantage
  • Valid Code 08/BE driving license (two year driving experience)
  • Registration with a professional body will be an added advantage

  • Knowledge of IP Systems
  • Knowledge of wireless radio and telemetry systems
  • Knowledge of Solar, inverters and UPS systems will be an advantage
  • Able to work on High Mast Structures
  • Believe in Zero Harm
