Puma Energy is recruiting a Supply Manager (m/f), to be based in Windhoek, Namibia.
Duties
Main Purpose
  • Accountable for ensuring supply in product meets demand and the lowest possible cost, through effective implementation and management of robust processes and effective team management
Cost Management
  • Establish cost structure with cost build-up approach and share best practices
  • Guarantee correct upload process into the systems & reports
  • Identify cost savings by leading initiatives with Trading, Operations and Taxation teams in the countries
  • Analyze historical cost data in order to provide more accurate cost estimative. Constant monitoring of inventory costs of various fuel products to accurately estimate the possible results of the daily transactions of sale
Product Purchase
  • Purchase product at the lowest possible cost. Interact with Deals Desk and actively participate in optimizing the supply chain. Active participation in regular supply optimization meeting with Supply and marketers
  • To lead supply flow of data between marketers and Supply
  • Accountable for consolidating demand and stock progression forecasts, weekly reporting for the country to ensure consolidated communication to central Market Supply team
  • Incorporates all in-country Other Oil Companies (OOC) primary supply requirements
Coordination of Product Scheduling
  • To ensure proper co-ordination/liaison with fuel suppliers to deliver quality products timely. Manage the interface with the Trader Ensure and/or develop an efficient road/rail transport plan to ensure supply reliability at existing supply points
Supply and Demand Forecasting
  • Ensure facilitation or the demand forecasts with sales team
  • Ensure correct loading locations assigned to customers as per pricing matrix
  • Reporting to the General Manager, this role provides the co-ordination between supplies of product sourced by Supply and the demands of the marketing organizations
  • The role will coordinate primary transport via road or rail between terminals and depots. Ensure allocations for filled
  • It is accountable for sourcing demand forecasts from the in-country Sales teams, consolidating the data across channels of trade as well as taking into account stock progressions, and relaying the data to the centralized Supply team
  • Will assist in the primary planning and scheduling of transport to move stocks from source (Refinery, or Ports, or terminals) to the in-country terminals. Vessel clearance, ullage
  • The decision to carry out (or not to) of inter-terminal stock transfers shall be the accountability of this role and the execution thereof shall be the accountability of Operations
  • Liaising with marketers every Monday to ensure variance of 10% is not exceeded and keeping proper record thereof
  • Consolidating & submission of timely and accurate product nomination forecast – Monthly
  • Capturing purchase orders & receipts in Navision for stock movements within the entity
  • Coordinating stocks to third party storage facilities to ensure adequate daily allocations of volumes to Puma clients
  • Monitoring and reporting weekly sales to check if it is in line with each segments monthly nominations - Sales versus Nominations
  • Communicating with vessel operators - vessel updates and clearance of vessels
  • Update monthly nominations per segment based on market trend and for OOC – Supply management and liaise, debt collection, statements drop off
  • This role shall ensure that all supply activities performed in compliance to Puma’s HSE and Control Policies
  • The role will ensure that all the required administrative work is done to effect cross border movements
Requisites
  • Undergraduate University Degree in Marketing, Business Administration or other similar field
  • Min 5 years oil industry experience in product supply
  • Experienced in sales and costing an advantage
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office
  • Fluent in English
