Hollard is recruiting a Team Leader: Personal Lines, to be based in Windhoek, Namibia.
Description
  • The team leader is responsible for managing and helping Underwriting and Processing team
Duties
  •  Managing the Underwriting and Policy administration team and ensure that they perform their duties correctly
  • Manage staff performance monthly and take corrective action where needed
  • Drive and manage high levels of staff productivity
  • Provide training on an ongoing process to new and existing staff members
  • Adhoc training sessions to be given on areas where needed
  • All support provided to team and management to enable efficient daily operations
  • Policy anniversary success rate
  • Actively retain policies where cancellation instruction received
  • New business closure of batches and acceptance
  • Post Loss Underwriting
  • Implement and enforce underwriting rules and processes
  • Premium confirmation done according to the confirmation guideline
  • Ensure that credit control listing is clear
  • Ensure that underwriting is administered within given turnaround times and as correctly and cost effective as possible applying sound underwriting principles
  • Assisting with all Adhoc underwriting projects
Requisites
  • Matric/Grade 12
  • 4 Years experience in the insurance industry
  • Excellent MS Office skills
  • Relationship and networking ability
  • Business and Financial understanding
  • Knowledge of operating methodologies of insurance industry
  • Other Skills Required:
  • Communication (Verbal & Written)
  • Attention to detail and accuracy
  • Strong admin orientation
  • Problem solving & Decision making
  • Team Work
  • Self-driven
  • Knowledge of I90 will be an advantage
  • Handle pressure effectively
  • Meet deadlines
