City of Windhoek is recruiting a Business Intelligence (BI) Data Engineer, to be based in Windhoek, Namibia.
Description
- Temporary Fixed Term Contract
- Incumbent will be responsible for the establishment, development and maintenance of data governance and quality standards and policies in the organization and ensure compliance with data related standards and policies thereof
- Incumbent will be responsible for the identification and solves problems through analytics and statistical models to provide insight and drive decisions within the organization
- These inculde the use of programming, statistical models and data visualization software
- The incumbent will analyze, design, develop and modify systems and systems processes to be aligned with the business processes, MIS & BI systems and related business functions throughout the organization
- Responsibilities also include assessing needs and formulating solutions through the use of various applications; Initiating and leading related projects; And providing day to day support to Management, business and to business support team

Requisites
- Qualification requirement:
- A Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Information Technology or a related field, Business Computing, Computer Science, Data Science
- Experience requirement:
- A minimum of three (3) years experience in Business Intelligence/data analytics/data science
- Legal requirement:
- Code B/BE driver’s license
- Pre-appointment training as an added advantage
- Microsoft PowerBI, Advanced MS excel, MSSQL Server Administration, MSSQL Server reporting services, MSSQL Server Business intelligence, MSSQL Analysis Server

- Housing Allowance – N$110,088 pa
