City of Windhoek is recruiting a Valuer, to be based in Windhoek, Namibia.
Description
- Value all classes of real estate properties for various purposes within the jurisdiction of Windhoek including the newly extended boundaries and supervise the work/job activities of the staff members
Duties
- Administer the work/job activities of the staff members (Trainee Valuers, Interns)
- Value of Land and Improvements for renting and selling as well as acquisition purposes
- Value of Land and Improvements for consolidation and subdivision purposes
- Value of Land and Improvements for betterment purposes as a result of rezoning
- Value of Land and Improvements for billing of rates and taxes
- Value of Land and Improvements for waiver/exemption of pre-emptive rights
- Compile the provisional Interim, and 5 Yearly main General Valuation Rolls
- Assist Senior Valuer to implement the provisional Interim, and 5 Yearly main General Valuation Rolls
- Administer the provisional Interim, and 5 Yearly main General Valuation Rolls, property information and provision of valuation and Property information
- Undertake market research on real estate industry, the economy and the population behavioral change
- Maintain efficiency and effectiveness of electronic valuation records and the manual records
- Complile submissions on the recommendations of applications for exemptions of properties from paying rates and taxes
- Ensure safe keeping of valuation records
Requisites
- Bachelor of Technology Degree in Real Estate Valuations or Bachelor of Technology Degree in Property Valuation, specialised in Property Valuations/Real Estate with three (3) years full-time experience in Performing Real Estate Valuation and a code B/BE drivers license
